Underground is a youth-led, after-school open studio, created by and for the ArtLab interns. Open to all interested area youth, Underground is an experimental space where youth can fuse community building with social justice and art making. ArtLab interns will design community building events to come together and explore an issue in any form they see fit, whether hosting a documentary screening, make a community meal together, long table discussion, zine production or an open mic. PlatteForum staff act as mentors for students to play, experiment and hone their artistic practice through this testing ground of new ideas.
